Diller Teen Fellows Mifgash (“Encounter”)The Diller Teen Fellows (DTF) program develops future generations of Jewish leaders committed to the Jewish people, Israel and community service, by inspiring and educating small groups of exceptional high school juniors. This diverse group of selected teen leaders represents various streams of Judaism. In October 2006, Detroit became one of the first four national partner DTF communities, along with San Francisco, Baltimore, and Cleveland. The year-long program consists of weekly Sunday seminars, weekend retreats, and a three-week Summer Seminar in Israel. While in Israel, Diller Fellows will perform community service projects, be hosted by their Israeli peers, and participate in workshops on issues concerning Israeli society. The Detroit Diller Teen Fellows program is coordinated by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and funded by the Helen Diller Family Foundation, with additional funds provided by the Stephen H. Schulman Millennium Fund. Blue dates in the calendar below indicate available photos for that day.
